Galla S Kiran Kumar, Bureau Chief

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced that the re-survey of lands undertaken by the Vaikapa government for Ke Valam campaign is being stopped. They said that the land boundaries were changed in the name of land survey. Vaikapa leaders were angry that they have looted the lands and natural resources. It has been revealed that ‘AP Land Grabbing Prevention Act’ will be introduced soon to prevent land grabbing in the state. If this law comes into force, the encroachers will have to prove that the land belongs to them. It is mentioned that this law is in force in Gujarat from 2020. In the previous government, Vaikapa leaders announced that they would return the lands grabbed to the victims. If the details of land grabs are informed to the government, they will be protected. He promised to take legal action if necessary and provide comfort to the victims. He warned that those who committed illegalities will not be spared. The land titling act is the pinnacle of Vaikapa land grabbing. He said that it was decided in the first cabinet meeting to abolish that wicked law that private persons can also be appointed as title registration officers. He said that according to the information available to him, 1.75 lakh acres of land has been encroached during the five years of Vaikapa’s rule, the value of which is Rs.35,576 crore. The CM released a white paper on ‘exploitation of natural resources under Vaikapa regime’. Later he spoke at a press conference.

They grabbed 10 thousand acres from the poor

During the Vaikapa regime, 10,000 acres of SC, ST and BC lands were forcibly grabbed across the state in the name of house plots for the poor. Vaikapa leaders had earlier bought the land at a low price and sold it to the government at double the price. Even though they know that the mustard lands are not suitable for houses, they have allocated them. The land was looted in the name of leveling. For house plots, 256 acres were bought in Gudivada for Rs.185 crores and 73 acres in Kesarapalli for Rs.51 crores. It is 5 times more than the market price. Mangroves were also destroyed.

Bhu Danda in Ongole and Tirupati

Properties worth Rs.101 crores were seized in Ongole. Government and private lands were confiscated by creating false documents. Lands were grabbed with settlements in Tirupati. Finally, the lands of the Math were also looted. 4.5 acres in Tiruchanur, 27.14 acres in Mangalam, 3.32 acres in Daminidu, Chigurwada, Surappakasam, Kotamangalam, Durgasamudram and many other places like government lands were encroached.

300 crore lands for Vaikapa offices

Vaikapa offices in 26 districts have been given 200 acres on a 33-year lease at a nominal fee. A total of Rs 300 crore worth of land has been allocated like this. Palaces were built in them without permission. It was built without permission on the Irrigation Department land in Tadepalli.

8,086 acres as arrears to ineligibles

Vaikapa leaders have written off 8,086 acres of land that should belong to the poor in the state. 3,357 people got 5,796 acres in Kadapa district, 856 people got 1,145 acres in Kurnool district, 3,471 people got 5,554 acres in Anantapur district. The elders bought the assigned lands given to the poor by the government cheaply during the Vaikapa era. They threatened the officials and kept them free. Those who have acquired such lands are sure to be jailed. On the 600 acre land grab in Idupulapaya in the united state, we conducted surveys and put it in the assembly. “I don’t know.. It happened during my father’s time without knowing.. We are handing it over to the government,” said the late YS Nadu in the assembly.

Cancellation of allotment orders of 982 acres

At the instigation of former minister Peddireddy in Punganur constituency of Chittoor district, 982 acres of government land was donated to his followers. We have ordered the authorities to cancel these,” explained Chandrababu.

Panchabhutas were also swallowed

The Y Kappa government also swallowed the Panchabhutas. Lands, mines, red sandalwood and forest resources were looted on a large scale. Earlier I had given land to Ramanaidu studio in Visakha. The land was illegally classified as residential and the share was sought. If 12.51 acres of Hayagriva land is given to the oldage home, former Visakha MP MVV Satyanarayana wants to raze it. 15 acres were built for Sharada Peetha at Rs.1 lakh per acre. Illegally constructed apartments on Dasapalla lands too. The former MP allotted 10.57 acres to the MVV organization and gave only 0.96 percent share to the beneficiaries. He committed a scam by issuing TDR bonds worth Rs.65 crore to his company.

Rs.653 crores wasted in the name of land resurvey

Rs. 13 crores were spent to put Jagan’s photo on the passbooks of the graduates under the name of “ Sa Swata Bhuraksha Act”. The survey was done in the name of YSR Bhurraksha and figures were painted on the rocks. Rs.640 crores were spent like fresh water for the purchase of granite stones. We will announce a toll-free number for collecting details of land grabs during Vaikapa. Complaints brought to our notice will be investigated and handed over to the victims.
