Doda: A fierce encounter took place between terrorists and security forces in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday night (Encounter With Terrorists In JK). Four soldiers including an officer were martyred in this incident. Police from that state were also injured. The police received information that terrorists have been attacked in Dessa area. With this, along with the soldiers, they started forced inspections. At around 9 pm, the terrorists encountered and exchanged fire. The security forces started firing.
It is known that five soldiers were killed last week due to an ambush on a military vehicle. Five other army personnel were injured. The tragedy took place in Machedi, a remote area of Kathua district. A group of ten jawans were patrolling the Machedi-Kindli-Malhar road in a truck at around 3.30 pm when the gunmen suddenly threw a grenade on top of the vehicle.
The terrorist attacks that started in Poonch and Rajouri districts have now gradually spread across Jammu. It is noteworthy that there have been no terrorist activities here for several years. More than 40 soldiers have lost their lives in terrorist attacks in Jammu region in 32 months. Police have information that around 60 terrorists are active in this area. Prime Minister Modi, who conducted a review of security issues last month, ordered to strengthen anti-terror operations. It is suggested that terrorists should not gain upper hand under any circumstances.
