Former BBMP contract employee arrested by Siddapura Police and recovered 62 Lenovo tablets and 2 batteries worth Rs.19 Lakhs stolen from a Government Public Health Center in Siddapura.

he Siddapura police have arrested a former BBMP contract employee and recovered 62 Lenovo tabs worth ₹ 19 lakh from him which he had stolen from the health centre store room on July 10 this year.

The accused was caught red handed while selling the stolen tabs on roadside in front of a hotel on Jayanagar 2nd stage.

Senior officer told reporters that the accused was hired on contract During Covid time as driver.During this time the accused had accessed the duplicate keys of the store room.

Using the duplicate keys the accused stolen the tabs kept at the store room meant to be given to Asha workers for official work .

In another incident,the Kengeri police following a chain snatching case incident, arrested a food delivery executive and recovered seven gold chains worth seven lakh from him.

The accused had snatched a gold chain from a home maker on June 7 near an apartment in Kodipalya while she was returning home after dropping her daughter to school.

Based on the complaint, the police analyzed CCTV footage before zeroing in on the accused near Doddabele metro station.

Inquiry revealed that the accused is a habitual offender involved in seven cases including four cases registered in Kengeri police station .
