Eenadu, Amaravati – Eenadu Digital, Visakhapatnam: His wife Usha Chilukuri’s name suddenly became popular when JD Vance was chosen as the vice-presidential candidate for the Republican Party in the US presidential election. Usha has relatives in Visakhapatnam. Usha Manavarali, who is teaching students as well as doing research even at the age of nine, will follow. Shanthamma’s husband is Chilukuri Subrahmanya Shastri. He worked as a Telugu professor and died a few years ago. Subrahmanya Shastri’s brother was Rama Shastri. Usha is the son of Radhakrishna.

Blessings are always there

Shanthamma expressed happiness over the selection of Usha’s husband JD Vance as the US Vice President candidate. He said that Usha’s parents once settled in America and she was born and brought up there, so there was little contact. After knowing about Vance’s candidacy and our kinship, many congratulated him on the phone. Usha’s elder sister Sharada, who is a doctor in Chennai, remembers attending the wedding of Vance and Usha. ‘Our relatives are working in high positions in various organizations in America. Usha felt happy and proud to know that the couple had reached this level. If she is the wife of the Vice President of America, my blessings will always be there, not more, if not less,’ Santhamma explained.

Shanthamma said that if the Usha couple stayed in our country and went to the top, they would have been more proud. Vance expressed hope that they will definitely succeed. He said that he wants to win the election and contribute to our country and stand assured. They will be invited to Visakhapatnam after the elections. He said that there has been an increase in conversions in recent times, and he said that he would send a message to Usha on my behalf to protect Hindus and protect Hindu Dharma. Until last year, 96-year-old Professor Santhamma used to travel from Visakhapatnam to teach at Centurion University in Vizianagaram. At present the researcher is expected to guide the students.

Usha Chilukuri Krishna District Udapaduchu. Her roots are in Saipuram village of Uyyur mandal. Chilukuri Rammohana Rao’s family, Usha’s grandfather, is currently residing here. ‘Enadu’ acquired their family tree map from him. Usha’s ancestors migrated from Krishna district to other places less than decades ago. In the 18th century Chilukuri Buchipapaiah Sastri lived in Saipuram. His progeny became the branches of the vegetable garden.. and spread up to Usha. Her great grandfather was Veeravadhan. He had five children namely Rama Shastri, Suryanarayana Shastri, Subrahmanya Shastri, Venkateswarlu and Gopalakrishnamurthy. All are highly educated.

  • Among them, Rama Shastri migrated to Madras. Professor at IIT Madras. His wife was Balatripura Sundari. They have three sons, Avadhani, Narayanashastri, Radhakrishna. Sarada’s daughter. All the three sons are settled in America… Sharada is staying in Chennai.
  • Radhakrishna did Aero Nautical Engineering. Works at University of San Diego. He married Lakshmi from Palmer. Their offspring is Usha.
  • Rammohana Rao of Saipuram told ‘Inadu’.. Usha’s grandfather Ramashastri’s younger brother Gopalakrishnamurthy explained that he would become a todallulla and we got married as the maids of a house. He said that a family tree was created recently with that relationship.
