aste system is not God’s creation. It is the creation of selfish men:CM.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the caste system is not God’s creation but the creation of selfish people.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Deeksha Rajata Mahotsava of Jagadguru of Bhovi Gurpeeth,Sri Immadi Siddharameshwar Swamiji of Siddharameshwar Mahasansthan.
‘Only a few who had the opportunity to study became financially prosperous.Those who did not have the opportunity for education were left behind and stuck to their trades.
Baba Saheb Ambedkar,who fought for the emancipation of oppressed communities,became a genius through education’,the CM said.
‘The oppressed communities were left behind because of centuries of slavery.Even now,due to a lack of education,it is not possible to come out of that slavery mentality.Therefore,one should develop self-respect and come out of the slavery mentality’,he said.
‘Backward classes,Dalits,and minorities are not able to get an education.He said that education is the basic right of everyone.’
‘SC/ST communities constitute 24% of the population in the state.In proportion with the population,our government has allocated 24% of the development budget for the development of these communities.
The Bhovi Development Corporation was established by our government.He said that our government has made a representative of the Bhovi community a member of KPSC.
There is a demand that the Bhovi Development Corporation should be renamed the Bhovi-Vaddara Development Corporation.He said that this demand will be fulfilled.
The CM assured that the demand for Siddharameshwara study bench will also be fulfilled.
Ministers Shivraj Thangadagi,D.Sudhakar,Satish Jarakiholi,MLAs Raghumurthy,Virendra Pappy,H.V. Venkatesh,Srinivas,Chairman of Bhovi Development Corporation,Ravikumar,former Minister Arvind Limbavali,former MP Chandranna,and many community leaders were present.
