Stopping with Diploma…
Admissions in Osmania University and Affiliated Private Engineering Colleges are special for those who want Engineering Degree.

Today, Hyderabad: Osmania University has made available a special engineering course for professionals who have completed their diploma and are working in government and private organizations. Last year, the university authorities started courses in three departments on an experimental basis and from this academic year, they have introduced courses in four departments (Civil, Mechanical, Computer, Electronics and Electrical). Only 30 people will be admitted in each course. This time the exam will be conducted for admissions. They have been given the opportunity to study in private engineering colleges affiliated to Osmania University along with the university campus. There are only 30 seats in each category. Officials said that the engineering degree will be completed in six semesters.

Without modern technology…

Due to family background and economic conditions, thousands of diploma engineers are working in government and private organizations after studying diploma engineering. Although many of them are interested in studying, they are not able to go ahead because the conditions are not suitable. Although good professionally and personally, they do not have proper understanding of artificial intelligence, autocad, computer usage. They are unable to compete with the newly employed youth. Taking all these into account, Osmania University has formed a ‘Working Professional Admission Committee’ with the aim of converting them into engineers. Engineering courses are designed in accordance with the recommendations of this committee.

Seats are limited.. evening teaching..

A limited number of admissions are provided through an entrance test. After the completion of this process, teaching will be conducted only in the evening in the private engineering colleges under the varsity, including the Osmania University campus. Chairman of ‘Working Professional Admission Committee’ Professor Kumar said that this course is considered as a lateral entry and has been designed in accordance with the guidelines of All India Council of Technical Education. It is explained that the evaluation has been designed keeping in mind contemporary and future developments in the course of six semesters.
