22-year-old youth was stabbed to death by an armed gang over a trivial row in Ramamurthynagar police station limits in the early hours of Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Manoj,resident of Hoysala nagar.
Probe revealed that Manoj was returning home in the early hours with his friend Antony when they confronted a group creating ruckus on the road.
Curious Manoj stopped to have a look for which the accused questioned him for staring at them.
Heated arguments ensued following which the accused stabbed Manoj and Antony fled the scene.
Passers by rushed them to a nearby hospital where he succumbed later.Antony was recovering at the hospital.
The police suspect Manoj had some issues with the accused and that could be the reason behind the murder.
