Amaravati: Chief Minister Chandrababu directed the top officials to resolve the land grabs that continued during the Vaikapa rule and provide immediate comfort to the victims of land grabs. He expressed concern that land-related issues seem to be the biggest problem in the state. Protection of people’s lands

It is said that disputes are increasing as land rates increase. He said that the revenue department also needs to be cleansed. He said that measures should be taken to create fear among the officers and make them perform their duties responsibly. It has been made clear that incidents like burning of files in Madanapally sub collector’s office should not be repeated. He said that it is important to punish those who have committed crimes and ensure that such incidents do not happen in the future. He said that most of the land grabs took place in the joint Chittoor district, Visakha, Nellore and Prakasam districts. If there is to be trust in the systems, there should be actions on the part of the government. CM Chandrababu reviewed the performance of the revenue department with the minister of the department namely Satya Prasad and senior officials at the secretariat on Monday.

Resurvey only for those who asked

Chandrababu revealed that there should be further discussion on how to proceed in the matter of land survey. ‘Survey should do good for the people. Was the survey actually conducted at the field level? Did the farmers agree? The boundaries were changed after the survey. Do you have data on how many accepted them?’ CM asked. Officials claimed that some mistakes were made. Chandrababu concluded that the survey should be done only for the problematic lands, and that there should be no survey where it is not necessary.

Jagan has lost hundreds of crores of rupees with his campaign frenzy

‘Only Pattadaru passbooks printed with Rajamudra and QR code should be handed over to the land owners. Jagan spent Rs. 15 crores to dress up his figure in a campaign frenzy. In the name of resurvey, they spent Rs.687 crores for stones. We have to think about what to do with the remaining 77 lakh granite stones. Erasing names on them will cost extra. Many irregularities have been committed in the matter of dotted lands. They gave impetus to the irregularities with a single memo. Many irregularities have also taken place in the matter of assigned lands.

Who got land from SCs?

Under 22A, many illegalities like putting lands in the prohibited list, deleting them, changing the survey numbers were done during the previous regime. Assigned lands passed from common people to political leaders. Reports should be prepared on where lands have gone from SCs. Find out when the transactions of the poor houses took place, who owned the land before the government bought it, who bought it after, what was the original rate of the land there and how much it was sold to the government. The Vaikapa government has committed land grabs in many places. At what rate should the land be given? Chandrababu stated that details should also be collected about how much was given to whom. The officials appealed to the CM that there is a need to form a committee at the state level to adopt clear policies on how to give land to whom.

It is the government’s responsibility to protect people’s property

Chief Minister Chandrababu announced at the ‘X’ platform that in accordance with the promise given in the election, new graduate pass books will be issued with the royal stamp. Public opinion is that there should be no one’s toy on the properties inherited from the grandparents. The arrogant and bigoted tendencies of the past do not exist in a democratic government. The government will take the responsibility of protecting people’s property,’ he said.
