The Vidhana Soudha police on tuesday arrested a 40-year-old civil contractor for impersonating as Personal Assistant in Chief MInister’s office .
The accused Srishail Jakkannavar,resident of Jayanagar was caught moving in Vidhana Soudha corridor carrying a fake ID as Personal Assistant to Chief Minister’s office.
Alert staff brought to the notice of the higher officials who caught him red handed and handed over to the Vidhana Soudha police.
Based on the complaint by Arun Furtado,Deputy Secretary,administration,CM office,the police charged Srishail under cheating forgery and impersonation and remanded him to judicial custody.
The police are now investigating to ascertain the source of the ID card and whether the accused had misused the card for personal gain.
