Mysore: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the Congress party opposes the central government’s plan to change the Waqf Board Act.
Speaking at Mysore airport,he said the Congress party believes in the Constitution and is against this move.
Siddaramaiah criticized the BJP,saying they are against minorities and do not support secularism or social justice.He called the BJP a communal party and said their actions,like the Prohibition of Conversion Act and changes to cow slaughter laws,are unconstitutional.He stressed that the Waqf Board law is personal to the community and should not be changed.
Regarding complaints filed by RTI activists against him, Siddaramaiah said they are false and will not stand in court.
