China Internet Desk: The world’s fastest rechargeable battery has been developed by China’s Zikr company. The company claims that its batteries charge faster than Tesla, the current industry leader. It claims that the upgraded batteries take only ten and a half minutes to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent. It is said that their batteries work similarly even at minus 10 degree Celsius temperature. It is said that the batteries used in Tesla’s Model 3 will take 15 minutes. These give a range of 282 kilometers.

The all-new 2025 ZCR 007 sedan will be available from next week. It is said that this new battery is installed in it. “Tesla’s charging technology is no longer leading in the industry. Zikr’s claims seem real. Even if it can’t charge fast, it’s great that it can be one of the fastest,” said Too Lee, director of Sino Auto Insights.

Zikr Intelligent Technology Holding Limited is a subsidiary of Chinese car manufacturing giant Geely. UK’s Lotus and Sweden’s Volvo are also part of this group. Currently Zeekr has 500 ultra fast charging stations in China alone. It hopes to double this number by the end of the year. It has taken steps to keep all 10,000 stations under its management by 2026
