Amaravati: The state government is setting up a special task force to make suggestions, advice and necessary plans for industrial development in the state. The government hopes to provide opportunities to leading industrialists and experts in various fields in the country. CM Chandrababu will be the chairman of the task force committee and Natarajan Chandrasekaran, the chairman of the Tata group of companies, will be the co-chairman. The task force will formulate proposals towards achieving the goals of industrial development and Swarnandhra Pradesh Vision 2047 in the state. Apart from this, as part of the short-term plan, it sets the goals to be achieved in the next five years. Tata Group Chairman Natarajan met CM Chandrababu at the secretariat on Friday. Their meeting was held with the aim of achieving investments in the state. Along with this, CM Chandrababu discussed with them the design of Swarnandra Pradesh Vision 2047. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said, ‘The aim is to take the state to the first position in the country in terms of investment attraction by 2047. Accordingly, the task force will give instructions on the measures to be taken in the state for the creation of infrastructure,’ the CM said. The Chief Minister held a long discussion with industrialists on various issues for about 3.20 hours from Friday morning. The government has decided to give permits to investors coming to the state under the speed of doing business policy instead of ease of doing business. CM Chandrababu tweeted on X on the meeting with Tata Companies Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran.

Special logistic policy

The state should be developed as a logistic hub. We will develop a system that provides cheap and easy freight services. There have been suggestions from industrialists to develop cluster system. The government will take a special policy for this. The task force will make recommendations as to where they should be set up. In this, we will formulate proposals for the formation of clusters according to the needs of industrialists from various sectors,’ said the Chief Minister.

Bajaj Group is interested in setting up 13 skill centers in the state

Bajaj Group is showing interest in setting up 13 skill centers on the basis of joint districts in the state. In the future, there are wide opportunities for the development of the field of artificial intelligence. In view of this, plans should be made for the development of that sector. Accordingly, skills should be developed in the youth. AI should be thought of as part of the curriculum rather than specifically training them. For this, we will focus on setting up a university for skill development,” said Chandrababu.

Suggestions received from industrialists

Many industrialists have suggested the attractiveness of investment in the state. Some key issues were discussed in the meeting on the formation of the task force. Representatives of many prominent companies in the country met with the CM.

  • Satish Reddy, who attended the meeting on behalf of Dr. Reddy Labs, indicated that setting up a project like Genome Valley in Hyderabad in the state would provide scope for research in the field of pharmaceuticals.
  • CM Chandrababu advised the ITC representative to focus more on the food processing sector. Proposals should be made for further development of the food chain. Value addition projects should be given priority.
  • If connectivity to tourist areas in the state is increased.. there is scope for further development. There is a proposal of ITC company to set up 10 star hotels for this. The CM mentioned that they are doing it as a target for the development of temple tourism.

Tata company is a huge investment

Tata has set a target of making investments worth Rs 8.5 lakh crore in the next five years. 70 percent of it is going to be invested in the country. We want to put the majority share in the state. The government is ready to provide them with the necessary infrastructure. Chandrababu stated that preliminary discussions were held with the chairman of the organization regarding this matter.

Establishment of ‘State of Center for Global Leadership’ at Amaravati: ‘State of Center for Global Leadership’ will be set up at Amaravati in partnership with CII. Tata Group will be a partner in setting up this company. The CM said that the Chairman of the organization expressed his positive opinion on the establishment of TCS Development Center in Visakhapatnam. He said that he had held discussions with the Tata chairman on issues related to the expansion of Air India and Vistara Airlines services to the state.
