Bengaluru college student allegedly raped by biker who gave her lift;FIR filed five special teams formed

21-year-old final year student who was returning home from party late in the night was allegedly raped by a bike borne man on the pretext of dropping her home in HSR layout on the weekend hours.

The victim had gone to party with a friend in Koramangala and returning home in a car.

The car had a minor accident with an autorickshaw while her friend was arguing with the autorickshaw drivers who gathered around near forum mall,the victim got down and started walking.

Meanwhile the accused on the bike approached her on the pretext of dropping her home,took her to isolated place and sexually assaulted her.

The victim found semi conscious with battered and bruised managed to call her family and friends who in turn alerted the police control room.

Senior police officials who were on night rounds rushed to help and shifted the victim to the hospital for treatment.

Five special teams consisting of 40 police personnel been formed to track down the accused,Additional commissioner of police,East,Raman Gupta,said.

We have some clues and working on to track down the accused, and the DCP south east,Sarah Fathima,spoken to victim and the victim is recovering and the police have recorded her statement for further investigation.

Later, Home Minister G Parameshwara, speaking about the incident, said, “The accused harassed her and made an attempt to rape her. Everything will be known after the police receive the medical test report he told reporters.
