Infamous Tiruchirapalli three member gang who used to break windshields of car to rob valuables arrested by Indiranagar police and recovered 7 laptops worth Rs.5.8 Lakhs

The alert Indiranagar police arrested a gang of three belonging to infamous Thiruchirapalli gang and recovered seven laptops worth Rs.5.8 lakh from them.

The accused were caught while they were armed with lethal weapons waiting for the passers-by to rob them near an eucalyptus grove in Indiranagar on Friday.

A detailed questioning led them to confess that they were involved stealing valuables from the parked cars in and around Indiranagar by breaking the windshields .

The accused hailed from Sriranga taluk in Thiruchirapalli district in Tamilnadu would come to city and move around the residential areas to conduct a reccee of the parked vehicles .

After identifying the parked cars with valuables left inside and steal them by breaking open the windshields .

The stolen laptops the accused would sell it to their contact in Thiruverumbur taluk in Tiruchirappalli district.

Based on the information,the police arrested the receiver of the stolen property and recovered the valuables from him.

City police commissioner,B.Dayananda appreciating the police work, advised people not to keep any valuables in the parked cars .
