Burial ground turned into growing ganja saplings Yelahanka police arrested drug peddler and destroyed all Ganja saplings

he Yelahanka police stepped up investigations after they uncovered eight saplings of Ganga grown in burial ground in Attur in Yelahanka on Monday.

Based on the information,a team of police rushed to the spot and seized eight saplings for further investigations.

A case under NDPS has been registered in Yelahanka new town, a police officer, said .

Going by the pattern of the samplings found the police suspect that addicts frequented the place for consumption and dumped the used stuff which led to cultivation.

The police have stepped up the vigil to identify people frequenting the place .

A detailed probe will give us some leads about the consumers and peddlers and the source of the saplings,the officer added .
