These are the strength of Hezbollah

The Hezbollah gang is in a collision with Israel, which has a huge arsenal of advanced weapons . It is burning in West Asia with frequent attacks. On Sunday, Israel fired hundreds of rockets and drones in response to the airstrikes. This Iran-backed group is raising a large number of weapons and posing as a small military force. Hezbollah says it has a huge arsenal and has used it sparingly in the 10-month-old conflict with Israel.

According to the US spy agency Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) ‘World Factbook’, Hezbollah has more than 1.5 lakh missiles and rockets. The gang says they have rockets that can hit any part of Israel. Most of these are of the unguided variety. In addition to these, Hezbollah has prepared missiles, drones, tank, aircraft and ship destroyers that can hit the target with high accuracy.

Hezbollah’s ‘Iranian’ rockets

  • Hezbollah has Raad, Fazr and Zilzal model rockets. These have powerful payloads. They can travel longer distances than Katyusha missiles.
  • Hezbollah has also fired Burkan missiles at Israel in the past. They can carry 300-500 kg of explosives.
  • For the first time, this militant group launched Falak-2 rockets in June. These have a 120 kg warhead.

Anti-tank missiles

  • Since 2006, Hezbollah has been using anti-tank missiles extensively. It has also deployed them in ongoing conflicts with Israel. It also includes Russian-made Kornet Astras.
  • It is also using the Iranian-made Al-Mas guided missile. They can also penetrate targets at a distance that cannot be seen by the eye. Iran made them by reverse engineering Israeli Spike class missiles.

Anti-aircraft missiles

In the clashes that have been going on for a few months, Israel’s Hermes drones have been shot down with surface-to-air missiles.

  • Hezbollah said it also fired missiles at Israeli warplanes, causing them to retreat from Lebanese airspace.

Ayub and Mersad series of drones

Hezbollah mainly has the Ayub and Mersad series of drones. These are produced locally and very easily with cheap tools.

Anti-ship missiles

Hezbollah announced in 2006 that it had anti-ship missiles. The missile was fired at an Israeli warship 16 km from coast to coast. Four personnel were killed in the attack. The ship was badly damaged.

  • It is reported that Hezbollah has also procured Yakont anti-ship missiles capable of hitting targets at a distance of 300 kilometers.Hezbollah announced in 2006 that it had anti-ship missiles. Who gave

Hezbollah receives weapons mainly from Iran. This gang also boasted Russian and Chinese made weapons.

    How many fighters?

Hezbollah leader Syed Hassan Nasrallah said in 2021 that they have 100,000 fighters. But the CIA World Factbook says that this gang has 45 thousand militants.

  • Monster rockets and missiles Hezbollah’s main weapons are unguided rockets. In the clashes with Israel in 2006, this gang fired about 4 thousand rockets at Israel. Most of these are Katyusha type missiles.
    • Nasrallah said that since 2006, they have been expanding their arsenal massively. He said that there are guidance systems that direct the rockets to hit the target with utmost accuracy.

    Main article ‘Katyusha’..

Katyusha rockets from He Jbolla Ammulapodi are the mainstays. An estimated 300 rockets of this class were fired at Israel during Sunday’s clashes. Katyusha is the colloquial name for this racket. It is taken from an inspirational song from the wartime era of the Soviet Union. In the 1930s, Soviet engineers designed a multiple rocket launcher to complement these weapons while exploring ways to strengthen the force’s capabilities. It fires a series of unguided rockets.

    • These rockets run on solid fuel. They can be launched from various platforms including trucks. As a result, they can be moved quickly into the battlefield.
    • These launchers unleash fire by firing tens of rockets rapidly at a target location. These can stun the enemy.
    • They are ideal for destroying enemy bases where enemy forces are heavily deployed. Not only the explosions coming from these rockets.. the claps also make the opponents panic.
    • Katyusha rockets used by Hezbollah have a range between 20-40 kilometers. Some variants can travel up to 80 km.
