Trolley operator stabbed to death by his friend at Airport terminal -1 parking lot over illicit relationship with his wife accused arrested by KIAL police

45-year-old trolley operator was stabbed to death at the arrival terminal point 1 on Wednesday night.

The Deceased Ramakrishna,was picking up the trolley left by the passengers to get them to airport when the accused identified as Ramesh confronted him and stabbed him and stood there before the CISF personnel rushed to the spot and pinned him down.

He was later handed over to the Airport police along with the knife he used to commit the offence.

The incident occurred around 6.30 pm at the parking lot of one of the arrival points at Terminal 1.Preliminary investigations revealed that both Ramesh,a private bus conductor and the deceased as Ramakrishna hailed from Thimmanahalli in Tumakuru’s Madhugiri taluk.

Ramakrishna reportedly had an affair with Ramesh wife for the last three years.The couple had a fight following which Ramesh wife separated from him in 2021.Enraged Ramesh attempted to kill Ramakrishna twice before.

On Tuesday,the duo had a heated argument over the phone again following which Ramakrishna challenged him.

Enraged Ramesh decided to eliminate him and carried a knife in a backpack and boarded a bus from Madhugiri and deboarded at Yelahanka.

He then got into a BMTC bus and headed towards the airport and waited for Ramakrishna at the arrival point where he usually comes to pick up the trolleys .

Meanwhile when Ramakrishna came to get the trolleys Ramesh who was waiting for him at the rest room close-by confronted him and stabbed his neck killing him on the spot .

Since he didn’t enter the terminal, the security personnel did not check his bag,a senior officer,said ruling out the security lapse.

The Airport police have registered a case of murder and further investigations are on,Sajeeth V,Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast),said.
