Amaravati: A trap is being tightened around Vijayawada Police Commissioner Kanti Rana and DCP Vishal Gunni, who are said to be the key players in the case of Mumbai movie actress Kadambari Jatwani’s arrest in a false case. DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao has ordered an inquiry into the matter as serious allegations have been made against the IPS officers themselves. On his orders, Vijayawada Police Commissioner Rajasekhar Babu examined the case files registered against Kadambari Jatwani and her family members at Ibrahimpatnam station. It has been found that there are many loopholes in the case registration and investigation. A report was made on this and handed over to the DGP on Thursday morning. In view of the extreme allegations made by the actress against the police officers, orders were issued on Thursday evening appointing CCS ACP Sravanti Roy as the inquiry officer to ascertain the truth. After investigating all aspects, Sravanti Roy will give a report in four days.
Jatwani will meet CP today
Actress Kadambari Jatwani will come to Vijayawada on Friday morning and meet Police Commissioner Rajasekhar Babu and reveal the details. After that, the inquiry officer Sravanti Roy will get the details from Jatwani. The investigating officer will also examine the depth of the forgery case registered against Jatwani by the Vijayawada police. There are many suspicions that the case was registered as soon as the complaint was filed. The case was filed to pressurize Jatwani to withdraw the case against Jindal in Mumbai. Jatwani’s lawyer Narra Srinivasa Rao said that her parents, who are elderly people who are not related to her, have also been sent to jail. At that time the police included seven witnesses in this case. The investigating officer will call them and get the details. Jatwani along with her parents are on remand for 42 days in the district jail in Vijayawada. During this time, there were allegations that the top police officers came to the jail and forced them to take back the case to Mumbai. In this background, there is a possibility to examine the CCTV footage of the prison. “In view of the fact that the person who is accused in the case has made serious allegations against the police, we will conduct an in-depth investigation. IPS officers or common people are equal before the law. CP Rajasekhar Babu made it clear that further action will be taken based on the facts revealed in the investigation
