Amaravati: Heavy rains are falling in many parts of AP. CM Chandrababu said that the rains are likely to continue for another 3 days. He held a teleconference with the officials of various departments. A review was conducted with CS, DGP, Ministers, District Collectors and SPs. They want to focus on not contaminating drinking water and food. He said that there was an incident of falling ill due to contaminated food in Alluri district. He ordered to provide better treatment to the victims. He said that the cause of the incident should be investigated. They want to work more efficiently in view of the severity of seasonal diseases.

“Officials should be vigilant about rains. People’s problems can be reduced if they are vigilant. The condition of the ponds should be examined in coordination with the Irrigation and Revenue Departments. Roads are waterlogged in towns and traffic is causing problems. Traffic diversions should be taken according to the situation. Treatment should be provided to the tribals affected by fever. Do not allow people to cross canals and streams. Work should be coordinated through WhatsApp groups. Technology like drones should be widely used in disaster situations. Alert messages should be sent to people’s phones about heavy rains. Officials should work to create a belief that the government will support. Water storage in projects should be continuously monitored. A landslide on a house in Vijayawada is sad. The government will support the families of those who lost their lives,” said Chandrababu.
