ours after landed in Bellary prison amidst tight security Kannada film star Darshan was given UTP 511 number .
A team of 50 plus police men escorted Darshan to Bellary from Parappana Agrahara Prison in Bengaluru, where he was languishing since June 22.
The 24th ACMM court on tuesday granted permission to shift Darshan and his associates to different prisons across the state after a viral photograph of him with rowdy-sheeters,smoking and sipping a cup of coffee and relaxing inside the prison went viral on Sunday.
As many as nine prison officials including the chief Superintedent and Superintendent of prison were suspended after three FIRs have been filed to probe in detail about the special treatment to Darshan .
Tight security at Ballri prison:
Security has been stepped up and audit conducted on tuesday as the news of Darshan being shifted to the district prison confirmed .
The security arrangements have been made following a directions from Deputy Inspector General of Prison to the superintendent of Bellary prisons giving detailed security measured to to be taken in Darshan case.
According to the officials,the officials have arranged a separate cell for Darshan with CCTV to monitor him round the clock .
A dedicated officer has been appointed to monitor Darshan and his activities and conduct daily checks along with surprise checks.
The officer who conduct checks should wear body worn cameras and all the Darshan activities should be monitored and recorded round the clock .
Apart from this the officials are not allowing Darshan to mingle with other inmates but he will be treated as normal Under trail with no consideration.
Except his wife and blood relatives and advocates , Darshan will not to be allowed to meet,not even any party or political leaders .
Apart from Darshan,some of his associates involved in Renukaswamy’s murder were also moved to prisons in different districts.
Pawan K,Raghavendra and Nandish were moved to Mysuru jail,Jagadish to Shivamogga jail,Dhanraj D to Dharwad jail,Vinay V to Vijayapura jail,Nagaraju to Kalaburagi jail,Laxman to Shivamogga jail and Pradosh to Belagavi jail.
Meanwhile Comedian and actor,Chikkanna appeared before the police around 9 am for questioning as he had met Darshan recently in prison.
Sources said that the line of questioning was related to what the conversation was between the two and whether Chikkanna was cajoled.
During the probe,police had found that Chikkanna was in a party hosted by Darshan at Stony Brooks pub before Renukaswamy’s murder and also visited parappana Agrahara to see Darshan.
Meanwhile,a team of officials continued their investigation at the Parappana Agrahara prison about the smuggling of contraband,mobile devices and the recent leak about a crime branch raid.
