Three held,No language angle in factory worker’s attack says police

he Anekal police have detained three factory workers for assaulting their co-worker over a trivial,which later escalated by the local as language issue and outsiders menace .

Based on the complaint filed by Shivalinga (40),the police booked a case against the trio charging them with assault for further investigation.

In his complaint Shivalinga said that the trio identified as Manu,Ansari and another man are from Uttar Pradesh and do not understand local language.They are arrogant and have problem with Shivalinga for the last one week.

On Wednesday morning one of the accused during work hour extended his leg to make Shivalinga trip while he was passing by.

When Shivalinga questioned their behaviour,they asked him to talk to them in Hindi.Heated arguments ensued following which one of them reportedly assaulted Shivalinga with metal object found near-by,Shivalinga sustained head injuries and went to the local hospital where he got stitches for the injuries .

Soon the local residents gathered in support of Shivalinga demanding strong action against the accused.

They are outsiders and come here to work,instead of respective the culture and language they show arrogance and mock the locals for not knowing Hindi”, Shivalinga told the media .

The locals said that the problem of outsiders are on the rise as they are taking up the jobs from locals and ready to work for meagre salaries.

The local residents blamed the owners of the factories and firms to employ these migrant labourers depriving jobs for the locals.

Meanwhile during the detailed probe it was revealed that the complainant had a difference with the accused over a trivial row of using strong perfume by them.He was objecting to the strong perfume they were wearing and since the accused not familiar with the Kannada the problem escalated and ended up in assault,a senior officer, said .
