Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has stated that the government is making efforts to provide skill training to the youth in different fields in the state. He hoped that the newly established ‘Telangana Young India Skill University’ in the state should be made a model in the country. It has been announced that the responsibility will be handed over to the University Board. A meeting was held at CM Revanth Reddy’s secretariat on Thursday with the ‘Telangana Young India Skill University Board’ and representatives of entrepreneurs and organizations from various sectors of the state. On this occasion, he shared his thoughts on Skill University. The CM called upon industrialists and leading organizations of the state to participate in this university. He asked them to contribute to the youth by teaching them skills and providing them with employment. He said that on behalf of the state government, 150 acres of land and Rs.100 crores have been allocated for the skill university. Industrialists were also asked to come forward for the formation of corpus fund required for management. He called to take initiative for the construction of buildings in the university. Officials were advised to name these buildings after organizations or donors.
Training according to the needs of the industry
CM Revanth Reddy said.. “Degree and PG degrees are not enough. Lakhs of youth are completing degrees, PGs and engineering every year. Not everyone is able to get jobs. Lakhs of youth who have completed engineering are coming to us for some job. On the other hand there is shortage of human resources to meet the needs of industries. Youth employment will not be affected if they learn skills required for various sectors and industries. It is very important to train according to the needs of the industry. That’s why we thought of establishing Skill University. We implemented our idea as fast as possible. Henceforth we are handing over the responsibility of Skill University to Chairman of the Board Anand Mahindra. He has experience in this field and has a special recognition.. I am confident that he will bring the brand image of the university. Our government will focus on the establishment of ‘Young India Sports University’ from now. We will set up a sports university in about 200 acres. We will provide training to athletes with the aim of winning a gold medal for India in the 2028 Olympics. To participate in the development of this varsity. The state government has no problem of funds. We are ready to bear the cost of Rs.1,000 crore in the budget of Rs.3 lakh crore. Beyond financial cooperation.. All entrepreneurs and businessmen of the state should show initiative as expected. Appropriate participation and responsibilities should be shared,” he urged.
