 Hyderabad: Justice PC Ghosh Commission has expedited the judicial inquiry against Kaleswaram. It is learned from reliable sources that the commission has asked the government to hand over the cabinet rulebook along with the resolutions passed by the cabinet regarding the Kaleswaram project. It is known that the government has ordered a judicial inquiry in the wake of the collapse of a block in Medigadda barrage built as a part of Kaleswaram, seepage in Annaram and Sundilla barrages. Justice Ghosh, a former judge of the Supreme Court, who took up the investigation, took affidavits from the participating engineers and officials and cross-examined them. Six officials of the Telangana Engineering Research Laboratory will be cross-examined on Friday. On the other hand, it is known that the Commission is engaged in the collection of vital details. It is known that Dr. BR Ambedkar took up the Kaleswaram project by restructuring the Pranahita-Chevella project and limited the Pranahita project to the joint Adilabad district. It is learned that the details of the resolutions passed by the cabinet have been sought in this regard. Apart from this, it is known through the most reliable sources that resolutions have been sought regarding the works of Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla barrages. However, Irrigation Department sources said that they have no information on this. On the other hand, it is learned that the Commission has also asked to provide the information requested from the Irrigation Department in the past, besides ensuring that the final report of Vigilance and Enforcement is received quickly. Justice Ghosh had a meeting with Irrigation Secretary Rahul Bojja on Thursday. It is learned that there was a discussion about the information to be received from the Irrigation Department. It has been brought to the attention of the commission that the state government has requested to hand over all the records two months ago, and the secretary of the irrigation department has written a letter to the engineer in chief and informed that the information has been received, but the requested details have not been provided so far. It is reported that a letter has also been written to the Director General of Vigilance and Enforcement. It is learned that along with Vigilance and Enforcement Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla have also been asked to complete the investigation and give a report, but they have not come so far. It is reported that the government has also been asked to hand over all the records related to the construction of Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla barrages in the Kaleshwaram project, irregularities and misappropriation of government funds.

Cross-examination of all those who gave affidavits

About 65 people filed affidavits before the Judicial Commission as part of the investigation. It includes IAS officers and contractors along with engineers. Former CS Someshkumar has also given an affidavit recently. It is known that all of them will be called for cross-examination. In view of the large number of them, it is reported that the commission is also thinking of hiring a lawyer.

Give the details of the engineers who worked in Kaleshwaram Quality Control Department 

Today, Hyderabad: The Irrigation Department has asked for the details of the engineers who worked in the quality control department of the Kaleswaram project. It directed the ENC (Administration) to immediately provide the details of Chief Engineers, SEs, EE, DEE, AEE, AE who have worked since 2015. Additional Secretary of Irrigation Department N. Shankar has issued orders to this extent. It is learned that these details were asked in the wake of the vigilance report on Madigadda.
