he mandya police have registered an FIR against Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje and state opposition leader R Ashoka for posting a fake photo and spreading false information during clashes in the Nagamangala town of Mandya district.
While Shobha karandlaje while criticising Congress led Siddaramaiah government posted photos on X account , accusing the Mandya Police of “arresting” a Lord Ganesh idol.
In her post,the minister also claimed that stones and sandals were hurled at the idol during the procession which was intended to disrupt the public order and communal in nature.
In her tweet,she said that “Prathama Poojyā Ganesha has been arrested by the police in Mandya, Karnataka!! Anti-nationals threw stones & sandals at the Ganesha idol during the procession & burned more than 25 shops.
CM Siddaramaiah & HM Parameshwar are protecting the culprits and covering up the incident,”she also accused the police as Spineless stating they took away the ganesha idol in police van today.The law and order situation in Karnataka has completely collapsed.
Several BJP leaders and even Prime minister Narendra Modi has mentioned in a rally about the tweet while attacking the congress government.
Police also registered FIR against R Ashoka for sharing misleading videos on his social media account falsely claiming that pro-Pakistan slogans were raised during the Nagamangala violence.
