Officials say that only after signing permission for darshan  will act according to law

Today, Tirupati: Thithi officials are preparing to take a declaration from the former CM Jagan, just as they have demanded a declaration from the pagans who come for darshan of Srivari. To this extent, they will go to the guest house in advance and give him the declaration form. If he signs, he will be allowed to visit. Titi officials say that if they refuse, they will proceed according to the law of the Devadaya Department. It is clear that if the declaration is not signed, they will not be allowed to visit.

During Vaikapa’s reign, there was a big uproar over the use of adulterated ghee for making Tirumala Laddu Prasadam. Devotees are angry with YV Subbareddy, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and Evo Dharma Reddy who acted as the chairmen of Thithide along with the then government. Jaganmohan Reddy prepared to visit Tirumala Srivari while this affair was going on. He will reach Renigunta Airport on Friday evening and reach Tirumala from there. Will visit Srivara on Saturday morning. Common devotees among pagans get to sign a declaration at the 17th compartment when they come for darshan of Srivari. When the VIPs arrive, the officials go to the guest house and take the signatures. If Jagan comes to Tirumala on Friday, he will go to the guest house and explain to him the provisions of the Thithide Act and the Department of Religion Act and ask for his signature on the declaration.

He did not comply while in power

During Vaikapa’s five-year rule, Jagan visited Srivari many times. When he was the Chief Minister, none of the officials asked him for a declaration. No one paid attention to the demands made by Hindu Sanghs, TDP, BJP and Jana Sena leaders. At the time of the Brahmotsavam, there was a large-scale discussion about this, but the then chairman and many ministers criticized the opposition with harsh words. Now many have appealed to the EO to allow darshan only after signing the declaration. On the other hand, BJP leader Bhanuprakash Reddy made it clear that Jagan’s visit to Tirumala will be blocked. At Alipiri, he says that Jagan deserves to go to Tirumala after apologizing to the Hindus saying, ‘I, the Chairman, have made a mistake’.

What is a declaration?

According to the rules of Thi Tide, non-religious people must submit an affidavit when they come to have a darshan of Srivari. In 1990 the then Govt issued a G.O. Following this, non-Hindus/pagans must first sign a declaration form before entering the Srivari temple. He should enter the details and sign that he is a person of a different religion, but still has faith and respect for Sri Venkateswara Swamy, requesting that he be allowed to have darshan.
