aj West end hotel situated on race course road received a threat mail that led to a panic situation on Saturday.
The front desk staff alerted high grounds police who rushed to the spot along with BDDS team and conducted a detailed search before declaring it as hoax.
A thorough investigation, using sniffer dogs and the bomb squad on the hotel premises proved the threat to be a hoax,a top police officer has said.
The staff of the hotel, commonly used to host prominent politicians and cricketers,received the bomb threat e-mail, Deputy Commissioner of Police (central),HT Shekhar said.
The bomb disposal squad rushed to the scene on being informed of the mail and checked the premises of the hotel thoroughly, before declaring the email threat a hoax,he added.
A complaint has been registered by the police and investigation is underway.
