Pakistani national arrested with family for staying illegally near outskirts of City

In a joint operation by central agencies,the Jigani police arrested a pakistani national along with his wife and two children who were living in the outskirts of the city with fake identities for the last six years.

Based on a tip of the police raided the house and arrested the accused before they were taken Into custody for questioning.

Preliminary inquiry revealed that the wife is said to be from Bangladesh,the Pakistani national met her in Dhaka and married .

The couple is said to have illegally come to Delhi in 2014 and then moved to Bengaluru in 2018.

With the help of local agent the family for IDs in fake names and living in Jigani since 2018.

Senior officer told reporters,Rashidh Ali Siddiqui,a 48-year-old Pakistani national arrested along with his wife and in-laws told the police that he was sent by his handlers from Bangladesh to promote the religious programs in and around Bengaluru and living in the name of Shankar Sharma .

The accused based on a tip off from Chennai counterparts arrested by a team of police led by Inspector,Manjunatha BS and team on Sunday raided at a rented apartment situated in Anagan layout Near,DLF, Rajapura village,Jigani,Rashid wife Ayesha living in fake name Asha Sharma,38,along with her parents Hanif Mohmmed also alias Ram Baba Sharma,73 and Rubina alias Rani Sharma, 61.

During the raid the police found a poster Mehdi foundation International with a name Jashne-e-Yunus along with the photograph of a religious leader .

A detailed questioning with the accused revealed that he haled from Liyakhtabad in Karachi and married Ayesha native of Pakistan staying in Bengaldesh in 2011. It was online marriage.Due to harassment to his family members from Pakistan people,he fled to Bangladesh and started working for ALRA TV and promoting the preaching .

The expenses and renumeration is born by Mehdi foundation.The members of the foundations spread across the world .

During this time,the Muslim leaders attacked their group following which the Rashidh was advised to go to India and promote the teaching of his leader.

With the help of Parvez,member of the group from India, Rashidh along with his family came to Delhi through porous borders from Malda west Bengal .

While reaching Delhi the family were given names as Shankar Sharma,Asha Sharma,Rani Sharma and Ram Baba Sharma,Karthik Sharma and Neha Sharma and also provided Aadhar cards, DL and passports in the new names .

In 2018 when the family again went to Nepal to meet their religious leader,he advised them to go to Bengaluru to promote his preaching and introduced him to Altaf for local logistic support .

As per the advise Altaf brought them to Bengaluru and put them in a rented flat and taking care of their expenses since then.

During his stay in Bengaluru Rashidh used to talk to his family in Liyakhatabad in Pakistan.The racket was busted recently when Mohammed Yasin alias Karthik Sharma his wife Zainab Noor alias Neha Sharma,Altaf Ahmed and his wife Fathima Gohar who had gone to Bangladesh to meet the religious leader and while returning caught by Immigration officials in Chennai .

Even though the accused confessed to have taking shelter in Bengaluru under fake name due to religious persecution and to promote their religious teaching among the followers, the police suspect that the accused could be part of the sleeper cells and further investigating.
