Hubballi:Politics in the state has sunk to a new low and to target the opposition, cases are being filed, and senior officials are being misused, said former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking to the media in Hubballi,he said that nepotism is rampant in the state.Because there is political protection, officials are making degrading remarks.Such low-level politics never existed before.
If an allegation stains one person, the attempt is to tarnish everyone. This will not continue for long. Ultimately, the law will take its course,he stated.
Responding to MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal’s statement that some people are waiting with money to become the Chief Minister,Bommai said,”You should ask Yatnal what information he has;I don’t have any details.I won’t comment on him, you can ask him directly.”
When asked about the complainants in the MUDA scandal approaching the Enforcement Directorate (ED), he said,”Let’s wait and see what happens.”
