JERUSALEM: The whole world is watching West Asia with bated breath. There is widespread fear that the fire that has raged here will burst into flames. Tensions are high as to how a furious Israel will respond to Iran’s ballistic missile attack on its country on Tuesday night. There are clear signs that Israel is preparing for a massive attack on Iran. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who has already issued warnings that Iran will have to pay a heavy price, met with the security cabinet in a bunker in Jerusalem on Wednesday. It seems that Israel has come to the conclusion that it has to attack Iran. It is reported that a strategy has been made to target the country’s economic sources, oil and natural gas fields, including an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. In addition to this, there was a discussion in the security cabinet on the issue of eliminating the key leaders of Iran. Along with Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei, the names of key commanders of Iran’s revolutionary forces are also included in Israel’s list. But US President Biden has told Israel that he will not support attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities. “Apart from Iran’s key bases, our attacks will mainly target key leaders like Khamenei,” said an officer from the Israeli army (IDF). America and France are ready to support Israel in attacking Iran. Already the armaments of these countries have reached West Asia. Most of the missiles fired by Iran at Israel on Tuesday were intercepted by the US and its allies. Even now, Israel is planning to attack Iran with the cooperation of these countries. However, Iran is warning that it will retaliate even more if there is any attack on them. The fear of what will happen is everywhere.
An unexpected setback
While preparing to attack Iran, the Israeli army (IDF) which entered Lebanon suffered an unexpected setback. The IDF said eight Israeli soldiers were killed and seven wounded in a firefight with Hezbollah near a village in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah claims to have destroyed three Israeli tanks. On the other hand, 51 people lost their lives in an IDF airstrike on the city of Khan Younis in Gaza on Wednesday. The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that 19 of them were from the same family. Among the dead are 12 children and seven women. 85 people were injured. Israel also attacked Damascus, the capital of Syria. Three were killed and three others were injured in the attack.
Huge hole near ‘Mossad’
Although Israel and America announced that the launch of Iranian missiles failed and that they had blocked them, the situation at the field level is somewhat different. Some of the Iranian missiles hit Israeli territory directly, bypassing the missile defense systems of these countries. Iran fired a large number of missiles at the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad’s headquarters in Tel Aviv. In these attacks, a huge hole was created near the office. Local media reported that all the vehicles that had been parked there earlier got stuck in the mud due to the large amount of dust thrown up when the missiles landed. The scenes related to this hole have become viral on social media. It is reported that this office was evacuated by Mossad in advance as it was known that the attack would take place. In addition to this, the scenes of Iranian missiles hitting some other infrastructure and military bases are seen in the form of videos. Israel admitted that some of the missiles hit its air bases. But it said that there was no damage to the warplanes.
Israel bans Guterres
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has been banned by Israel. Israeli Foreign Minister Kantz stated that he cannot enter their country. Guterres did not condemn the attack by Iran. He was accused of following an anti-Israel policy. He criticized Guterres for supporting terrorists, murders and rapes. But Guterres condemned Iran’s attack at an emergency Security Council meeting on Wednesday. China claims that West Asia is on the brink of war.. All factions should exercise restraint.
Exercise restraint: India
India has expressed deep concern over the tense situation in West Asia. All sections have been called upon to exercise restraint. It suggested that the dispute should be resolved through diplomatic channels through negotiations. It said the key is to ensure that the current conflict does not turn into a regional war. The Ministry of External Affairs has issued a statement to this effect. Indian citizens have been warned not to travel to Iran. “We are closely monitoring the latest situation in West Asia. We advise you not to travel to Iran unless it is an emergency. People living in that country should be alert,” it said.
