Today-Tirupati, Tirumala, Newstoday: As part of the Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavam, a flag hoisting program was conducted on the first day of Friday evening between 5.45 to 6 pm in Meenalagna Subhamuhurtam. First the Garuda Pata was paraded and the flag was hoisted in the presence of Sri Malayappaswamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi inviting the Brahma deities. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on behalf of the state government presented silk clothes to Shri. EO Shyamala Rao and Additional EO Venkaiah Chaudhary welcomed the CM who arrived at Bedi Anjaneya Swamivari Temple along with his wife Bhuvaneshwari at 7.45 pm. Chief priests of the temple Venugopala Dixitulu wrapped the head of the chief minister and handed over silk clothes. Chandrababu’s couple bowed to the flagpole and visited Srivara. After that, the pundits blessed Chandrababu with Vedic mantra chanting in Ranganayakula Mandapam and covered Chandrababu with Seshavastra. Tithide Evo presented the tirthaprasadams.

Govinda Namasmarana should be echoed..
CM Chandrababu said that only the name of Govinda should be chanted continuously in the sacred Tirumala temple. It has been revealed that he prayed for the blessings of Swami to be always on the people of the state. He said that the management of Thithide is making many arrangements for the devotees. On the occasion of Brahmotsavam, only the Minister of Religious Affairs accompanied the CM from Mahadwara while offering silk clothes to Shri. As he made it clear in advance that no one should come with him, he was able to go inside the authorities without a fight at the gate.

On the first night of the Brahmotsavam, Lord Malayappa Swami along with Sridevi and Bhudevi graced the streets of Tirumada in the form of Paramapada Vaikunthanath on Svarna Sesha Vahanam (Peddasesha Vahanam). After the Darshan, CM Chandrababu came to the Vahana Mandapam and visited the Lord. Debt Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and Debt Commissioner Satyanarayana participated.

Diaries and calendars will be available in Tirumala and Tirupati from Saturday. It will be made available to devotees in other areas from the second week of October.
