Government along with CM Siddaramaiah is facing insecurity:Bommai
New Delhi:Former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai urged CM Siddaramaiah to either work for the people or vacate his position, underlining the insecurity surrounding the CM and his government.
Looking at how Siddaramaiah claims every day that he will be the Chief Minister for three years, it’s clear how much insecurity he’s feeling.
The government is unstable, and no development work is taking place”Bommai told reporters here on Thursday.
He expressed that the government, along with CM Siddaramaiah,is unstable. No development work is happening, everything has come to a halt.
According to his information,no important files are being signed. It is high time the CM must work for the people, or vacate the position.
About JDS MLA,G.T.Devegowda’s statement that if Siddaramaiah should resign, then Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy should also step down,Bommai responded,I am not aware of what G.T.Devegowda has said.Even when complaints were filed against Siddaramaiah, they were not taken seriously.
Even after the Governor gave permission for prosecution,it wasn’t taken seriously. The High Court has clearly stated where the mistakes were made and where there was nepotism.
After that,if the CM asks the Lokayukta, which works under him,to conduct an investigation, who would accept that?Chief Ministers must respond to the feelings of the people of Karnataka.”
On the CM Siddaramaiah’s statement that “conscience is the ultimate court,”the MP said,Who is there to see Siddaramaiah’s conscience? His conscience should be visible through his actions, not words.”
Regarding the allegations made by Congress leaders against Leader of the Opposition R.Ashoka, the former CM said,Ashoka has explained everything in detail.
There is a difference between Ashoka’s case and Siddaramaiah’s case. Before the case was filed,Ashoka had already returned the land.
There was a system where BDA kept 70 per cent and 30 cent of the land was returned. No accusations have been made against Ashoka in the Court of Representatives, High Court,or Divisional Bench.Despite all this,Ashoka said,he will resign on moral grounds,Siddaramaiah must resign as well.
