Bengaluru:Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw and MoS V. Somanna conduct a window trailing inspection

Union Minister for Railways,Information & Broadcasting and Electronics & IT Ashwini Vaishnaw along with MoS V Somanna conducted window trailing inspection between Kempegowda International Airport Railway Station (halt) – Bengaluru Cantonment and held meeting with Railway Officials to review the development works of Bengaluru Cantonment Railway Station.

Union Minister for Railways,Information & Broadcasting and Electronics & IT Ashwini Vaishnaw was warmly welcomed by MoSR V. Somanna at Kempegowda International Airport,Bengaluru today.

Later he conducted window-trailing inspection between Kempegowda International Airport Railway Station (halt) -Bengaluru Cantonment and reviewed several key operational & safety aspects.MoSR V. Somanna accompanied him.

Later Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw inspected Bengaluru Cantonment Railway Station along with V. Somanna.Also held a review meeting at Bengaluru Cantonment with Railway Officials regarding the redevelopment works of Bengaluru Cantonment Railway Station.

MP,P.C.Mohan was also present during the inspection of Bengaluru Cantonment Railway Station.

Addressing the media after the meeting,Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized the importance of Railways in the transportation system.

He mentioned that the Sir M.Vishveshwaraya Railway Station was the first major railway station to be redeveloped,followed by the redevelopment of Bengaluru Cantonment and Yeshwanthpur stations which are being carried now.

Vaishnaw also stated that Railways will soon begin large-scale production of Amrit Bharat trains Version 2.O with improvements.

Vande Bharat sleeper train built in BEML Bengaluru are currently being tested and will be deployed soon.

Vaishnaw also spoke about the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail, which will benefit cities close to each other, such as Bengaluru-Tumakuru and Bengaluru-Mysuru.

He mentioned that these trains will also be introduced in the Bengaluru area in the future.Additionally, he highlighted the significant increase in traffic capacity for Bengaluru city due to the construction of two phases of the suburban railway and the quadrupling of the Bengaluru-Krishnarajapuram-Whitefield railway line.

General Manager,Arvind Srivastava,Chief Administrative Officer(Construction),Ajay Sharma,Principal Head of Departments,Divisional Railway Manager,Bengaluru Yogesh Mohan and other Senior railway officials were present during this occasion.
