Delhi: The central government, which has already given its approval to finance Amaravati through the World Bank and to complete the first phase of Polavaram, has also waved the green flag for the construction of the railway zone headquarters, which is important in the partition promises. The foundation stone will be laid in December at the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Visakhapatnam. After the meeting with Prime Minister Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Chief Minister Chandrababu told this to the MPs of the NDA alliance. Chief Minister Chandrababu came to Delhi on Monday evening to resolve pending issues at the Center and immediately met Prime Minister Modi. The meeting lasted for about an hour and fifteen minutes. On this occasion, Chandrababu discussed central government assistance for Amaravati and Polavaram constructions, permanent solution to Vizag steel plant problem and central assistance to repair the damage caused due to recent floods. He told the Prime Minister that the Andhra-2047 Vision Document is being prepared to shape Andhra Pradesh in line with the central government’s Vikasita Bharat-2047 vision. It was explained that by 2047, when the centenary of independence will be held, Andhra Pradesh’s economy will reach the level of 2.4 trillion US dollars and the per capita income will reach the level of 43 thousand dollars. He appealed to the Center to provide adequate support and cooperation for the achievement of this goal. Explained about the economic conditions of the state and the ongoing development works. He asked to grant the most important national highway projects for the development of the state. Pradhan Mantri appealed to extend the Ujjwala Yojana to more people in Andhra Pradesh. He asked to speed up infrastructure construction projects in the capital Amaravati. The CMO said in a statement on Monday night that the Prime Minister has responded positively to help Andhra Pradesh.

After the meeting with the Prime Minister, Chandrababu met the Union Minister of Railways, Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnav. The Railway Minister met with Chandrababu Babu at 1-Janpath, the official residence of the Chief Minister in Delhi. The pending railway projects in the state were discussed at length. Discussions were also held on setting up of IT and semiconductor industries in the state. Establish a National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology to develop IT skills and digital literacy in Andhra Pradesh. Create an enabling environment to attract leading semiconductor industries from around the world to AP. Bring fabrication facilities to AP to increase the share of Andhra Pradesh students in high-end jobs. Establish a data embassy in the state with international courtesy. Support startups in Andhra Pradesh promoting drone and CCTV technologies. Chandrababu appealed to minister Ashwini Vaishnav to reach the goal of a poverty-free state by 2034.

Chandrababu Ashwini Vaishnav also discussed the improvement of railway infrastructure in the state. “Keep the Walther Division as it is and fulfill the aspirations of the people by laying the foundation stone for the South Coast Railway Zone Headquarters mentioned in the Partition Act. Grant a new railway line between Visakhapatnam and Amaravati and complete it within two years. Grant new line between Machilipatnam- Amaravati. Increase the capacity of the Howda-Chennai line to improve railway connectivity across the Andhra Pradesh coast. Improve Visakha-Nellore rail connectivity under Namobharat. Develop high speed railway corridors from Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai to Amaravati. Undertake the development of railway stations announced under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme on a priority basis. Besides sanctioning a new railway line between Narasapuram-Machilipatnam-Repalle-Bapatla, connect this link with Kolkata-Chennai near Bapatla,’ appealed Chandrababu. The Union Minister responded positively to all these proposals. Chandrababu said in ‘X’ that he thanked the Union Minister for taking forward the program of setting up the new railway zone headquarters, which has been pending for a long time. He said that it is hoped that the foundation stone of the new railway zone headquarters will be laid by December. It was revealed that the railway minister said that the railway department is undertaking various projects worth Rs.73,743 crore in the state. He said that the 4-lane line being constructed between Howda and Chennai will pass through the state. He said that 73 railway stations are being modernized across the state and some more trains are going to be introduced.

Grading of performance of MPs

After these meetings, Chandrababu gave a dinner to the Union Ministers and MPs representing the state at his official residence in Delhi. He inquired about the performance of MPs. From your attendance in the Parliament, the way you participated in the debates in the House, your efforts in getting central funds for the state, the role you play in solving the problems of the state, we will evaluate and give grading. All of you should take the initiative to solve the problems with AP Bhavan officials. Review every three months and discuss all issues. Every MP should prepare a vision document for their parliamentary constituency. Visakha Steel Plant problem will be solved. The state will get high speed rail corridor in future. All MPs should come with new ideas. He directed the MPs that every matter should be shared with me. Chandrababu commented to them that the Prime Minister is very positive about the state. Vizianagaram MP Kalishetti Appalanaidu brought to Chandrababu’s attention the things that came to his attention when he visited Naravaripalli recently. It is known that he commented with a smile that ‘everything has been investigated about our village’.

Meeting with many ministers today

Chandrababu will meet Union Ministers Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, Nirmala Sitharaman and Hardeep Singh Puri on Tuesday. Flood relief, Amaravati Outer Ring Road, development of national highways, permanent solution to Visakha Steel Plant problem, establishment of petroleum refinery in the state and development of industrial corridors announced in the budget will be discussed.
