CM Revanth Reddy: Fund three major projects

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy asked the Union Urban Development Minister Manoharlal Khattar to support the three major projects that will change the face of Hyderabad city.

Today, Delhi: Telangana CM Revanth Reddy has asked Union Urban Development Minister Manoharlal Khattar to support the three major projects that will change the face of Hyderabad city. Revanth, who had come to Delhi to participate in the conference of Naxal-dominated states, submitted the petition along with the Union Minister here on Monday.

  • Include the Hyderabad Comprehensive Sewerage Masterplan (CSMP) in the Amrit 2.0 scheme. If not possible take it up as a separate project. If the living standards of the city people are to be at world level, it is necessary to treat 100 percent of the liquid waste from the city as well as the nearby municipalities. In this background, 7,444 KM including Hyderabad and nearby 27 Municipalities. A DPR of Rs.17,212.69 crore has been prepared for the construction of Mera sewage system. It should be included in Amrit 2.0 and given financial assistance.
  • In order to prevent sewage from entering the Moosi river flowing through the city of Hyderabad, the construction of main sewers and new sewage treatment plants should be approved and the DPR should be approved and allowed for work.
  • We have estimated that the second phase of Hyderabad Metro expansion will cost Rs.24,269 crore. This should be allowed to be jointly undertaken by the Center and Telangana Government in the ratio of 50:50. We will submit DPR regarding this soon. Revanth Reddy asked the Union Minister Khattar to cooperate in the implementation of this project as soon as possible in view of the needs of the city.
