Man arrested by Bytarayanapura police for stabbing his friend to death over trivial row at a bar

A 25-year-old driver was stabbed to death by his friend over a trivial row at a bar in Guddadahalli in Byatarayanapura on Sunday.

The deceased Yogendra Singh was working at a private firm in Narasapura in Kolar and had come home on vacation.

He was supposed to return to work on Monday and on Sunday he went with his friend Umesh to Kala wine stores in his area to consume liquor .

During the session,the duo had a heated argument over a trivial row and in the melee Umesh attacked Yogendra with a broken bottle and stabbed him to death.

The accused along with other customers ran out leaving Yogendra in a pool of blood .

Based on the complaint by cashier,Venkatesh,the Byatarayanapura police rushed to the spot and track down Umesh and arrested him.

The body has been shifted for post-mortem and the police are questioning Umesh to ascertain the exact reason behind the murder a senior officer said.
