Hyderabad: The state government will set up the first Advanced Technology Center (ATC) in collaboration with Tata Technologies Limited (TTL). Kandukuru mandal of Rangareddy district has allowed construction on two acres of land in survey no.90 of Panjaguda village. Sanjay Kumar, Principal Secretary, Labor Department, has issued an order to this effect. A total of Rs.42.64 crore will be spent for the establishment of ATC. Out of which Tata Technologies Limited will spend Rs.31.01 crores. With these funds, the necessary software, machinery and human resources will be provided for the establishment of ATC. The remaining amount will be spent by the state government under construction works, electrification and other expenses.
Admissions from next year!
Six advanced technology courses with a duration of two years will be available in this ATC. 244 seats will be available in it. Admissions are likely to start from next year. TTL will provide the necessary technology and other human resources for ATCs for five years. After five years, there are opportunities to extend the contract for new courses, technology and other human resources as per the changing developments. Sources in the Labor Department said that the Employment Department will take steps to ensure that those who have studied in ATCs get employment opportunities.
