hile investigating a house break theft reported in the house of a road side cane juice vendor,the whitefield police track down a delivery executive of a online marketing company who used to break into houses using the keys left by the inmates at the common places .
The accused Pradeep,30,resident of Mahadevapura used to keep a tab on the houses while delivering goods and access the keys to break into the houses .
The accused using the Modus operandi,gained entry into the house with the key left at the window of the house and escaped with 28 grams of gold and cash Rs.10,000.
The tenant of the house is from Andhra Pradesh and eke out a living by making cane juice on roadside push cart .
The couple had made saving and bought gold which they had lost.
Based on the complaint,the PSI Nagaraj and team track down Pradeep and detailed questioning revealed that he had committed around six such house breaks in and around whitefield .
Based on his confession,the police recovered gold valuables which he had pawned in a gold shop in Mahadevapura total worth Rs 10 lakh from him.
The accused according,to investigation team is habitual offender involved in similar crimes in Mahadevapura and Varthur police station limits and arrested.
After released from prison last year the accused had continued to work as delivery executive and target houses where the inmates left the keys.
The accused even though married and had a child,is alcoholic an womensier and used to blow money on his vices, senior officer told reporters.
