Man arrested & released on station bail by KIAL police for attempting to grab rifle of security personnel during scuffle over trivial row at arrival point of Terminal-2

The Kempegowda International airport security staff on Monday arrested a 35-year-old man for attempted to grab the rifle of a security personnel during a scuffle over a trivial row at arrival point of Terminal-2 on Monday .

The accused identified as Vikram Ramdas,a resident of Kasturi Nagar was charged with section 132 (Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) of BNS for further investigation .

The incident occurred at around 7.30 while CISF official, who was on duty,altered the control room where a man had attempted to grab his rifle.

The quick response team (QRT) arrived at the spot and detained Ramdas after questioning him. He was then handed over to the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) police.

During the questioning,the police found that Ramdas had arrived in Bengaluru in a domestic flight from Hyderabad.
The accused had took the luggage of another passenger and tried to get out of the terminal.The luggage owner noticed him and objected led to argument between the duo .

The CISF staff Ankit Kumar who was on duty tried to intervene but the accused charged at him and tried to snatch his rifle .

Ramdas was handed over to the police and later released on station bail after the duo procedure .
