The 2024 Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films International, organized by DPIAF and led by Kalyanji Jana, recently concluded in Dubai, celebrating Indian cinema and culture on a global stage. The event brought together prominent figures, including politicians, business leaders, and film celebrities such as Meenakshi Seshadri and Mannara Chopra. The ceremony not only honored industry achievers but also recognized unsung heroes like spot boys and lightsmen.
Kalyanji Jana expressed pride in hosting the prestigious event in Dubai for the third time, despite challenges. The program also promoted Indian culture and tourism, showcasing the country’s heritage.
Upcoming events include the 11th Darshanik Mumbai Press Media Award and the 7th Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Gaurav Award in Mumbai on October 24th, and the Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films on November 24th. Additionally, a Bharat Gaurav Icon Award and cultural fashion show are set for December in Dubai, celebrating the diverse traditions of India and the UAE.
