He said that the situation of importing defense drones used by the armed forces and police forces from abroad has gone. On the second day of the drone summit, a conference was held on the topic of ‘Role of domestic drones and anti-drone technologies in the field of future warfare’. HSN Murthy, Head of Department of Defense Drones, IIT Madras acted as the coordinator. Andhra Pradesh Octopus DIG S.Senthilkumar said ‘The visibility of drones used for operations in forest areas is very low. Usually such activities take more time. But the battery capacity of drones and the time they can fly are not at that level. Getting real-time footage is sometimes not possible. Drones of this scale are expensive to purchase and maintain. It is difficult to fly them in the narrow spaces of urban battlefields. Domestic drones should be made to solve such practical problems and limitations,’ he asked the concerned organizations. Representatives of drone technology manufacturing companies Ashwin Shastri, Pragadish, John Livingston, Dr. Nagendra, Gaurav Sharma and others spoke.
