he Kengeri police have registered an FIR against a woman and her two friends for blackmailing her younger sister with private videos demanding ransom.
Based on the complaint the police have charged the accused Bindu,her friends identified as Irfan Pasha and Mohammed Tabrez have been charged with extortion, criminal intimidation,intentional insults to provoke breach of peace and also under various sections of the It Act.
The victim,who is married confessed that she had an affair with one of the accused Tabrez who according to her is a childhood friend.
The accused would record their private movements and later shared with the victim’s elder sister and her male friend.
The accused started blackmailing the victim demanding ransom and also threatened her with dire consequences if the did them pay them.They also threatened to make the videos public and share it with the victim’s husband and family.
Unable to bear harassment the victim,approached the police on Saturday seeking action against the accused.
The accused are now on the run and efforts are on to track them.
