‘If you die, it’s only a moment.. If you work for ambition, it’s forever. Thinking about death can do nothing. Chief Minister Chandrababu said that he thought that he would go ahead and face anything. He disclosed that there were many questionable incidents happening in the jail continuously and no one could come to him after facing them bravely. He commented that it is difficult to imagine what would have happened if he had not been like that and history would have been different. Even after he was released from jail, he became agitated that all those incidents were constantly going through his mind. Chandrababu participated in the ‘Unstoppable’ show aired on ‘Aaha’ OTT, which was anchored by movie hero and Hindupuram MLA Balakrishna. This episode aired on Friday night. On this occasion, Chandrababu gave interesting answers to Balayya’s questions about his arrest, days spent in jail, alliance with Pawan Kalyan, etc.
Lakshmana will not cross the line.. I will not leave those who have done wrong
Still can’t digest my arrest. I have never done anything wrong. I lived like fire. I am sure people will support me. That belief made me win again. This is how I stand in front of people. If you are afraid of being arrested or losing your life, you will not be able to achieve your goals. I have never dealt with a political party in my life. In the past when I was the Chief Minister, the Leader of the Opposition Rajasekhara Reddy used to exercise restraint even though he got agitated by fighting in the Assembly. When he became the chief minister, he would have warned me if he spoke aggressively to me, who was the leader of the opposition. There are times when he apologized. Such was the first time that party politics came in AP. Personal hatreds were opened. Anyway.. I will not cross Lakshmanrekha. I will not leave those who have done wrong. I will not go to those who do not do wrong.
If I had not been arrested, there would have been an alliance!
‘Pawan Kalyan accompanied me in jail and asked ‘Are you brave?’ asked. I said that in my life I will never be brave and I will never be afraid of anything. He told me that he sees the special situation in the state and will try not to let the anti-government vote split. In that case, I propose that we should all compete together.. we should think about it. Pawan Kalyan immediately agreed to it. He said that BJP will also be pleased and brought into the alliance. After meeting me, he came out and revealed the same to the reporters along with you (Balakrishna) and Lokesh. That is the beginning of our success’ said Chandrababu. ‘Wouldn’t you have formed this alliance if you hadn’t been arrested?’ Balakrishna asked.. ‘Would there have been an alliance even if he had not been arrested? My arrest prompted that decision. Pawan Kalyan reflected the aspirations of the people at the right time. We are purposeful. The destiny will be clear’ replied Chandrababu.
Don’t lose morale.
- He was taken to Rajamahendravaram Jail at midnight. That whole night I thought what is this punishment for the wrong I did not do. Thinking that if I lose my morale, there will be nothing left.. Even though I am brave. They couldn’t hurt me physically, but they tried to hurt me mentally.
- I never spent much time with family. Worked for the betterment of Telugu nation and country. While I was in jail, I used to think that I should dedicate the rest of my life to the people who are fighting for me.
- Most leaders are remembered by people after their death. The events after my arrest are proof of how strongly people react when a leader is in trouble.
Venkanna wanted that alone..
I could write books about my days spent in jail. No one has to fear when I have done nothing wrong. Sometimes in history some people face trials. I wish I had something like that. I used to pray every moment to my beloved Lord Venkateswara Swamy to give me the determination to face it.
Lokesh was also harassed when I was in jail
If I am in jail, my wife Bhuvaneshwari and daughter-in-law Brahmani are in Rajamahendravaram. The government of that time gave Lokesh serious trouble. If outside people were fighting against the injustice done to me, they were led by my family members. Bhuvaneshwari was a chief minister’s daughter and a chief minister’s wife, but she never got in or out of politics. Such people fought day and night for me.
Yuvagalam.. turning point in Lokesh’s life
The Yuvagalam Padayatra was a turning point in Lokesh’s political career. Before that, Lokesh is different. It was Lokesh’s decision to do the padayatra. But when there is a government full of hatred, I suspect that the march will not go so smoothly and the rulers will stop at anything. Lokesh, however, insisted on walking. As NTR’s grandson, Chandrababu’s son, Balayya’s son-in-law, he wanted to be special and prove himself. He said he would fight for the people and proved himself.
Amaravati and Hyderabad should be the top cities
To the question about the dream of Amaravati.. ‘We aim to make it one of the five wonderful cities of the world. We are doing things in Amaravati that cannot be done in the construction of Cyberabad. We are setting up district cooling systems that provide AC facility through pipes to every house. If Hyderabad has the advantage of having climate and government lands, then Amaravati has Krishna river and hills. My aspiration is that these two cities should be No. 1 and 2 in the country,’ he said.
Grandfather’s answers to grandson Devansh’s questions
Grandson Devansh appeared on the screen and asked Chandrababu some questions. Danikayana replied with a giggle. ‘You are always involved in politics, what do you do in your free time?’ To the question… ‘If you give him time, he will play with you and relax. But now you don’t give time, do you? You always wrestle with calculations. If you get bored, you can relax by studying science. He replied that if I change what I am doing, I will get relaxation.
- ‘Always before. But not visible. What is that?’ When asked about Devamsh’s life story… Chandrababu replied that it is ‘future’.
- When Devansh asked, ‘What is the most mischievous thing you have done’… Chandrababu addressed Balayya. Balayya responded to that.. ‘Whether he is asking knowingly or unknowingly, I doubt he will become a politician’.
Lentils will be awesome.. If you add an omelette
As part of the show, Balayya gave two options each and Chandrababu gave witty answers to the question which one he liked. Balayya asked Chandrababu if he got the cooking, and Chandrababu countered by saying, “Did you get it?” Balayya said that although he does not know how to cook, he gives good advice. Chandrababu said that he will cook the dal wonderfully and make the omelette easily and nothing else will come.
If possible.. a cup of coffee with Bhuvaneshwari
Chandrababu replied that he would drink a coffee between 8.30 am and 9.30 am every morning to the question of what he likes between tea and coffee. ‘I used to drink with Bhuvaneshwari when I was at home in Hyderabad. If in Amaravati, the dining table is my companion. As she stays in Hyderabad, we never get a chance to sit together. If such an occasion comes, it is a big festival for us” he said. When asked which city he prefers between Visakha and Vijayawada, he said that his choice is Amaravati. He said that both Visakha and Vijayawada will be developed.
Yes.. all challenges!
They came to power with many ambitions and determination to achieve something. To the question, ‘are not empty treasury, ineffective system, floods in Vijayawada challenges’… ‘Challenges.’ On the one hand, the debts have to be settled and the interests have to be paid. AP’s brand image has been damaged. The industrialists were scattered. Amaravati is debilitated. It is a challenge to put all of them in the groove,’ he said.
I was moved to see the pain of that father in the flood
Balakrishna praised that in the days when there were leaders who went around in helicopters when there were floods, they helped the people by going knee-deep in the water. So I boarded a boat and went to the flood affected areas. The flood surge was high and the security personnel told them not to go in the boat, but they ignored it. I went ahead and said that I would know the hardships of the people only when I go and see them. After realizing the severity of the situation, I reached the Collectorate and stayed there in a bus for ten days… I supervised the flood relief operations. A father came to me and told me that his child has been asking for water for three days and asked me to give him two bottles of water. We have provided food and essentials to the people using all the means. Biscuits, milk, nuts, food items, whatever we got, we sent. We have worked harder than we have ever done in our life. We brought it back to normal within ten days,’ he said. His eyes lit up while saying these words.
Bhuvaneshwari boss for me.. Brahmani boss for Lokesh
When Balakrishna showed the pictures of Bhuvaneshwari and Brahmani on the screen and asked who is your boss… Chandrababu smiled and replied ‘Bhuvaneshwari is my boss and Brahmani is my son’. Chandrababu joked that Balakrishna said that he himself had trained them to do Basism and told them how to deal with them. Balakrishna replied with a smile, ‘I sent you home because I couldn’t bear it.’ Chandrababu said that they are the strength of their family.
