Haveri (Shiggaon):We are receiving remarkable support in Shiggaon.Along with the backing of our well-wishers and elders,we are getting substantial support from new youth.
This time,a massive public force is with us,”said former Chief Minister and Member of Parliament Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking to the media in Shiggaon on Thursday,he said this time,a new team of youth is joining them in large numbers.
Referring to the recently held Legislative Council election from the Dakshina Kannada-Udupi local authorities constituency, where BJP candidate Kishore Kumar Puttur was elected to the seat vacated by MP Kota Srinivas Poojari, Bommai said that public representatives are supporting them there.
Additionally,he noted that in the last one and a half years, people have voted against the state government’s mismanagement.
“Voters there are wise. Members of the Gram Panchayat and local municipal councils have cast their votes,”he said.
The MP criticized the state government for not allocating two thousand crores to local bodies. They are making accusations against the central government, but due to the lack of grants from the state government, representatives of local bodies are angered by this administration,”he stated.
Responding to Congress’s statement in Channapatna, claiming that no one other than the Kumaraswamy family could be a candidate,Bommai remarked that it has already been proven that the Congress lacks a candidate there.
He added that Kumaraswamy’s influence remains strong in the region, and amidst all these developments, people will reject the Congress candidates.
