Haveri (Shiggaon):Former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai accused the Congress government of disrupting harmony among communities after coming to power in the state.
He was speaking while campaigning in favor of BJP candidate Bharat Bommai in Hurulikuppe village of Shiggaon taluk.
He said he have had a connection with Hurulikuppe village since his time as a Member of the Legislative Council.In this village, people from all communities live in unity.
It is his responsibility to complete the Biralingeshwara Community Hall.There are also demands from the SC/ST Bhovi community, which will be fulfilled.
Basavaraj Bommai alleged that since the Congress government came to power,harmony between communities has been disrupted,and governance is being conducted through police stations.
Over the past fifteen years,there were no communal conflicts in this constituency and resolved village issues within the village itself.
He urged people to support Bharat Bommai to maintain communal harmony in the Shiggaon constituency and appealed to everyone to come together in unity.
He reminded the people of the privilege they had given him to serve as the Chief Minister of this constituency. As CM, he introduced the Vidyanidhi scheme for the children of farmers.
The population is increasing, but the land remains the same. Therefore, the Vidyanidhi scheme was launched to help farmers’ children pursue higher education and find alternative employment opportunities.”
Bommai also mentioned that during floods, double the compensation was provided under his administration, but the current government is not providing adequate drought and flood relief.But the present government was not working in the people’s favor.
The MP said the party leaders have given a ticket to Bharat Bommai,and to continue the development of the constituency, he appealed to the people to elect Bharat Bommai.
