Haveri (Shiggaon):”I am a batsman,I keep scoring centuries,”said BJP candidate Bharat Bommai from the Shiggaon-Savanur constituency.
Speaking to the media after canvassing for votes in villages such as Tavarmellahalli,Kuni Maralihalli,Alasur, and Hosa Alasur in the Shiggaon constituency,Bharat Bommai compared the Shiggaon by-election to a cricket match.
He said,”I keep scoring centuries.It is us who hit centuries.We don’t play T20 or One Day matches;we play Test matches.Our innings are always long.”
Bharat mentioned that during the campaign,widespread support was being received from the youth,who were giving positive responses.
Hundreds of young people have joined the BJP.He added,My father has done significant development work. The Congress leaders are now campaigning on the very concrete roads built by my father.”
