“I have developed without any discrimination: Bommai”
Haveri (Savanur):The Bhavasar Kshatriya community is the reason the culture has remained strong in Savanur. The development work he has done is not significant compared to the love and trust they have shown, said former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai.
On Sunday in Savanur,he campaigned for BJP candidate Bharat Bommai at a meeting held by the Bhavasar Kshatriya community.
He mentioned that they are aware of the challenges faced in business and transactions in Savanur but appreciated the community’s perseverance and leadership despite difficulties.
He expressed gratitude for being elected four times with their support,stating that any development work he did was small compared to their trust and love.
Bommai shared an analogy from mythology, where Subhadra and Rukmini competed to show who had more love for Krishna.
Even after Subhadra placed all her jewelry on one side of the scale,it did not outweigh Krishna.However,when Rukmini offered three sacred basil leaves with devotion, the scale tipped in Krishna’s favor.No love is greater than that which is full of devotion and affection.
The MP said that in the Shiggaon-Savanur constituency, it is not a given that anyone can become a legislator.The voters must decide in this election whether they want a peaceful environment or one where they have to frequently visit police stations.
He recounted how there was once a severe shortage of drinking water in Savanur,with protests taking place. Now,those problems have been resolved, and residents have access to drinking water.
He shared a memory from 2018, when an elderly woman from the minority community stood watching the groundbreaking ceremony.
When asked why she was there,she replied that she came just to see him and shared how she came to Savanur as a daughter-in-law 50 years ago,when there was no alternative to fetching water from wells.She said, “Now, you have ensured water reaches our homes. I pray for you.”
Bommai stressed that he has always worked for development without any discrimination and that development in Savanur must continue.
The community must elect Bharat Bommai so that the development journey could go on uninterrupted.
