Be cautious while speaking about Yediyurappa: Vijayendra
Haveri (Savanur):The Chief Minister is functioning while being in the position of an accused.Mr.Siddaramaiah should be cautious while speaking about former CM and veteran leader B.S.Yediyurappa,said BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra.
Speaking during a roadshow held today in support of BJP candidate Bharat Bommai for the Shiggaon Assembly constituency,he said former Chief Minister Yediyurappa has struggled for 30-40 years, raising his voice for the poor and farmers, and has provided an administration aimed at inclusive development with equal share and opportunities for all.
Mr Yediyurappa is not a Chief Minister by mere luck like Siddaramaiah; rather, Siddaramaiah has not fought for the poor or farmers and has not been part of any movements.
Vijayendra said the Bhagyalakshmi scheme introduced by Yediyurappa’s government was halted by Siddaramaiah’s government.
The incumbent Congress government is an anti-poor government and an anti-farmer government, with zero development.Besides, this is lifeless government and corrupt, and the sooner it is ousted, the better.
He expressed frustration that Congress MLAs and those from other parties are unable to undertake development activities like building roads, schools, hospitals, and other infrastructure.
The Congress government led by CM Siddaramaiah, which came to power promising corruption-free governance,of not introducing any new schemes or development works in the past two years.
Vijayendra cited Congress MLA Raju Kage’s statement that the government is unable to provide funds for development, to the extent that it leads to situations of contemplating suicide.
He also pointed out that the government is struggling to pay salaries to state employees, and contractors in Bengaluru and Davangere are driven to suicide due to non-receipt of project payments.
The state BJP chief highlighted the recent report of an SDA officer committing suicide in Belagavi due to threats from Lakshmi Hebbalkar’s personal assistant (PA).
He also mentioned the MUDA scandal and the Valmiki Corporation scam, claiming that money embezzled from the corporation was used for the Lok Sabha elections.
Vijayendra urged voters to elect BJP candidate Bharat Bommai with a significant margin in this by-election.
BJP candidate Bharat Bommai, former minister B.C. Patil, and other prominent leaders were present.
