I know what development has happened in your constituencies,CM and ministers:Bommai
Haveri (Shiggaon):Former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai challenged the Chief Minister, ministers, and legislators who question the development of the Shiggaon-Savanur constituency to visit his constituency and see for themselves if the development there matches that of their own.
On Wednesday, while campaigning for BJP candidate Bharat Bommai in the villages of Narayanapura and Ibrahimpura,he said that he is aware of the development in the constituencies of the CM and ministers, having toured them himself.
The people of those constituencies know what has (or hasn’t) been done there. The people had voted out the current Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during his tenure due to a lack of development.
He criticized the current administration by noting that although Rs.500 crores have been sanctioned for a foundation-laying event in Siddaramaiah’s constituency. if the CM was meant to serve only one constituency or the entire state,he questioned.
He also accused the government of withdrawing the Rs.300 crores he had sanctioned for development projects in his constituency, which included roads, bridges, field pathways, and community halls.
Funds amounting to Rs.10 crores that were released for the development of mosques and dargahs for the minority community were also withdrawn.
He questioned whether this government had undertaken any new projects or repair works in the past one and a half years?Farmers were left without compensation during droughts or floods and questioned how such an administration could be considered a government.
The government has diverted the Rs.24,000 crores reserved for SC and ST welfare to fund guarantee schemes, doubting their commitment to these communities’ development.
Bommai claimed there was no development for farmers or rural areas and that bus services for students had been disrupted.
The scholarships for students from backward classes and SC/ST communities, previously provided by his administration, had been halted, and questioned the government’s moral right to seek votes.
The MP said he had brought development to his constituency without discrimination and ensured communal harmony.
Peace leads to progress and urged voters to choose harmony over divisive politics.
Bommai appealed to the people to support and vote for Bharat Bommai, who stands with them every day, unlike others who visit briefly and leave.
