he Chikkaballapur police have arrested owner of a detective agency and five of his associates for abducting a 34-year-old Yoga teacher at gun point and attempted to kill her on October 24 .
The police have also arrested a woman identified as Bindu who paid supari to abduct and kill the Yoga teacher accusing her of having illicit affair with Bindu’s husband and trying to break her marriage .
The victim who is separated from her husband,living with her two children and teaching yoga to eke out a living .
The accused Satish Reddy,posing as retired army officer approached her seeking yoga therapy for his back pain which occurred due to a fall during horse riding.
After few session Reddy offered her to teach her rifle shooting and took her in a car on October 24.The victim noticed three other men in the car soon suspected something fishy as tried to resist but the accused overpowered her and abducted the victim at a gun point.
While the car was moving he assaulted her accusing her of having affair with Bindu’s husband and tried to assault her sexually .
The accused assaulted her when she resisted.Due to continue assault and torture the victim passed out .
Assuming that she is dead,the accused drove the car to reached the forest area in Chikkaballpur.The accused dug up a trench and buried her before removing her clothes and jewels .
The victim claimed that she used Yoga technique to fake her death and woke up as soon as the accused left .
She managed to walk up to three kilometers to reach a house in Dibburahalli belonging to Venkatesh and sought help.The family offered her water and food consoled her before alerting the police.
The police rushed to the spot and took her to the hospital and recorded her statement.Based on the complaint the police have registered a case of kidnap and attempt to murder against Satish Reddy and others.
Considering the magnitude of the case,SP, Chikkaballapur,Kushal Chouksey formed a special team who track down Satish Reddy and four others including Bindu on Wednesday.
The accused Satish Reddy,who owned Bengaluru Mahanagari detective agency in city, is a habitual offender involved in several criminal cases including sourcing the CDR through the police officers to share with his clients .
The CCB has investigated the case and arrested him this year.The accused used a policeman in CID to source call detail records (CDRs) for his clients who hired him to get confidential information against their rivals .
The policeman was earlier with the technical cell of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and is presently working in Kolar.
He allegedly misused his official position to source the CDRs for three detective agencies and handed them over to his associate, who is from Andhra Pradesh.
The other accomplice of Satish Reddy including Ravi, Rama Reddy and Nagendra Reddy had even stolen the SUV from Koppal to abduct the victim.
It was a pre planned and the accused were paid by Bindu to allegedly eliminate the Victim to take revenge against her for spoiling marriage life.
It was a challenging task to track down the accused and they are always on the run and familiar with the police way to tracking down.However the police track down the accused using basic policing and track them down, Mr. Chouksey, said .
The accused have been booked under kidnap and attempt to murder and taken into custody for further investigation.
