ubballi:Former Chief Minister and Member of Parliament Basavaraj Bommai has alleged that those accusing the Joint Parliamentary Committee formed for the amendment of the Waqf Act have no respect for the Constitution.
While responding to the Congress’s claim that the Waqf parliamentary committee visiting Karnataka was baseless,he told the media on Friday that it was a committee formed by the Parliament, created by both Houses,and a JPC carries its own respect.
The panel visited as there were issues in Karnataka. There is no political motive involved.The committee has listened to the farmers’ problems.
The present government of making allegations to cover up its own mistakes and for appeasement politics,and they have no respect for the Constitution or Parliament.
